Katikati ambulance crews attended 42 calls last week, 33 of which were in the Katikati operational area, the remainder ranging from Waihi to Papamoa Beach. Thirty patients were transported to hospital, one to a GP surgery, eight were treated at home and one was referred to another agency. One patient did not require transport and on one occasion the ambulance was not required. Tauranga ambulance crews attended 28 calls in Katikati and intensive care paramedics responded to three calls. Omokoroa First Response Unit had three call outs.
