Te Aroha’s lifestyle appeal begins with its name and reason for existence. Watched over by its ‘mountain of love’, Te Aroha’s small- town allure has much to offer families looking to escape the city bustle. This home fits the bill superbly with a modern home, five bedrooms, spacious living, outdoor entertainment and the chance to enjoy the good life. Sitting on the outskirts of Te Aroha, there’s a country ambience here. At first glance, the property appears to be a large family home with a big front garden and playground lawns. What’s not visible is all the allure around the back – and sides; when discovering four paddocks offer grazing for horses and some livestock. There’s a brilliant chicken coop – designed nicely for egg collection and open-air run for the chooks. The pig pen is another boon that meets the self-sustainability approach – or it could be adapted for other uses, perhaps. Raised vege boxes in a dedicated area are also well designed for easy maintenance and easy picking. This back corner is the man-cave patch. Quite apart from the hobby farming and garden pen, the big shed highlights the fun to be relished here. Lined with ply, carpeted and housing a bar saloon in the corner, it’s the complete party central. That said, the house revolves around entertaining in different ways. Modern, double glazed and dressed with contemporary flair, it’s tailored for family life. The kitchen stands out immediately. Spacious and cleverly designed with a peninsula bar, the double wall oven tucks into the wall at the far end. It’s a good working kitchen, which gives space for various needs. White cabinetry is on trend and is the natural contrast for the woodgrain flooring that flows into the dining area with its log fire. Navy tiling on the splashback makes a striking statement - this deep colour used again in the laundry next door. Big and fitted well with good storage, it’s designed for an active family life. Everything about this home is big – ample space for a large dining setting, play space, a dedicated couch corner around TV, plus separate space in the second lounge when family time dictates different desires. Bedrooms are all generous to allow room for desks and personal entertainment. Bathrooms are luxurious – both fully tiled, big walkin showers and double fittings that include a monsoon shower head. All of this and superb outdoor flow. Open sun decks and a huge barbecue garden as well. Room for a pool, tramp and grasslawn games, plus parking galore with a double garage, carport and off-street space for the boat and motorhome – this property covers every base. For the love of life and recreation – nature and Te Aroha’s historic spa are all within close reach.
